Taxonomy
Locustopsis pulchella was named by Zessin (1983). Its type specimen is LD 1071/1(2), a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Zessin collection), which is in a Toarcian marine claystone in Germany.
It was recombined as Plesioschwinzia pulchella by Gorochov and Coram (2023).
