Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
K. D. Rose et al. 2013 | Small tillodont; similar to Azygonyx and Esthonyx, but smaller and with buccally very hypsodont lower molars (M1 trigonid height slightly greater than M1 length, .30% greater than M1 trigonid width). Buccal hypsodonty exceeding that in all other tillodonts except Higotherium and possibly Chungchienia. Further differs from Azygonyx and Esthonyx in having a stronger postmetacristid. Further differs from Esthonyx in having a better developed molar hypoconulid, which is lingually shifted and separated from entoconid and hypoconid by distinct notches; and a relatively shorter dP4, about same length as M1. |
