Taxonomy
Eurypterus salmii was named by Stur (1877). It is an impression. Its type locality is Hermenegilde Shaft, XII Jaklowetzer seam, Ostrava, which is in an Arnsbergian lacustrine shale in the Ostrava Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Campylocephalus salmi by Dunlop et al. (2013) and Braddy et al. (2023).
