Taxonomy
Cyclophthalmus robustus was named by Kjellesvig-Waering (1986). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 13976, a claw, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Coseley, near Dudley (BMNH coll), which is in a Westphalian B interdistributary bay shale in the United Kingdom.
