Moisseievia was named by Dagys (1963) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori Tr Rhae Sepkoski's reference number: 1]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cirpinae by Williams et al. (2002).
