Laurieipterus elegans

Taxonomy
Stylonurus elegans was named by Laurie (1899). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Gutterford Burn Eurypterid bed, Pentland Hills, which is in a Telychian offshore sandstone in the Reservoir Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Laurieipterus.

It was recombined as Laurieipterus elegans by Dunlop et al. (2013).
