Taxonomy
Nannirhynchia was named by Buckman (1917) [Sepkoski's age data: J Toar-l J Bajo-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1,715]. Its type is Nannirhynchia subpygmoea.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Laevirhynchiidae by Williams et al. (2002).
