Taxonomy
Lissorhynchia was named by Yang and Xu (1966) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis Tr Ladi-l Sepkoski's reference number: 538]. Its type is Lissorhynchia pygmaea.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pontisiinae by Williams et al. (2002).
