Taxonomy
Cryptorhynchia jhooraensis was named by Mukherjee et al. (2002). Its type specimen is JH/B 2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S of Palanpur village, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Patcham Formation of India.
