Taxonomy
Rhynchonella grasiana was named by d'Orbigny (1849). Its type specimen is MHN, Paris No. 6497 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Grasirhynchia grasiana by Owen (1988) and Schneider et al. (2013).
