Taxonomy
Rectithyris wrightorum was named by Owen (1988). Its type specimen is BB82175, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is White Hart Sandpit, Wilmington, which is in a Cenomanian shoreface sandstone in the Beer Head Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.
