Dereta pectita

Rhynchonellata - Terebratulida - Terebrataliidae

Taxonomy
Terebratula pectita was named by Sowerby (1816). Its type specimen is BMNH B61622, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horningsham, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian marine sandstone/sandstone in the Upper Greensand Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Dereta.

It was recombined as Dereta pectita by Elliott (1959) and Owen (1988).
