Taxonomy
Mytilarca boucoti was named by Kriz et al. (2011). Its type specimen is JK 17 942, a valve (right valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 10RB10, East of Hoonah Airport, which is in a Homerian/Gorstian carbonate siltstone/limestone in the Kennel Creek Formation of Alaska.
