Juraxymyia krzeminskii was named by Blagoderov and Lukashevich (2013). Its type specimen is PIN 5026/197, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Khasurty (PIN collection 5026), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
