Taxonomy
Psilocamara was named by Cooper (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u P Asse Sepkoski's reference number: 7]. Its type is Psilocamara renfroarum. It is the type genus of Psilocamarinae.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Psilocamarinae by Williams et al. (2002).
