Taxonomy
Victoriacystis holmesorum was named by Ruta and Jell (1999). Its type specimen is NMVP 100363 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NMVPL252 echinoderms, central Victoria, which is in a Lochkovian marine siltstone in the Humevale Formation of Australia.
