Ekaterodonta hesperica
Taxonomy
Ekaterodonta hesperica was named by Babin and Gutiérrez-Marco (1991). Its type specimen is CR-II 2 152/OR (internal mold of right valve showing the dentition) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Basal Shales, La Venta Fm., Aragoncillo, which is in an Oretanian offshore shale in the Villar del Salz Formation of Spain.
