Taxonomy
Septirhynchia was named by Muir-Wood (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: J Call-l J Kimm Sepkoski's reference number: 538,1066]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Septirhynchiidae.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Septirhynchiidae by Williams et al. (2002).
