Taxonomy
Somalirhynchia was named by Weir (1925) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bajo J Kimm-u Sepkoski's reference number: 59,877]. It is not extant. Its type is Somalirhynchia africana.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tetrarhynchiinae by Williams et al. (2002).
