Paonaupactus sobrinus
Taxonomy
Phyllobius (Subphyllobius) sobrinus was named by Voss (1972). Its type specimen is ZMUC 903847, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Danish Amber (University of Copenhagen ZMUC, NHMD Collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Denmark.
It was recombined as Sucinophyllobius sobrinus by Wanat and Borowiec (1986); it was synonymized subjectively with Paonaupactus sitonioides by Kuschel (1992) and Legalov (2015); it was recombined as Protonaupactus sobrinus by Yunakov and Kirejtshuk (2011); it was recombined as Paonaupactus sobrinus by Legalov (2019) and Legalov and Poinar (2021).
