Orthomylacris gurleyi
Taxonomy
Mylacris gurleyi was named by Scudder (1895). Its type specimen is Coll Gurley, a tegmen (fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (FMNH Gurley collection), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Handlirsch (1906); it was recombined as Orthomylacris gurleyi by Handlirsch (1920) and Handlirsch (1922).
