Taxonomy
Lithomylacris panperata was named by Scudder (1890). It is an impression. Its type locality is Port Griffith railway cut, near Pittston, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial siliciclastic in the Llewellyn Formation of Pennsylvania.
It was corrected as Lithomylacris pauperata by Scudder (1895); it was considered a nomen dubium by Handlirsch (1906); it was recombined as Orthomylacris pauperata by Handlirsch (1920) and Handlirsch (1922).
