Taxonomy
Blatta germari was named by Giebel (1856). It is an impression. Its type locality is Wettin, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Blattina germari by Heer (1864); it was recombined as Gerablattina germari by Scudder (1879); it was recombined as Blattoidea germari by Handlirsch (1906); it was recombined as Poroblattina germari by von Schlechtendal (1913) and Handlirsch (1920); it was replaced with Poroblattina parvula by Schneider (1978).
