Taxonomy
Dryinus palaeomexicanus was named by Olmi (1995). Its type specimen is AMNH NJ35, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Mexican amber (AMNH Coll), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.
