Taxonomy
Alphadryinus sucinus was named by Olmi (1987). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (MRSN Torino coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Dryinus sucinus by Olmi (1995); it was recombined as Pseudodryinus sucinus by Olmi (1998); it was recombined as Harpactosphecion sucinum by Olmi and Bechly (2001) and Olmi and Virla (2014).
