Taxonomy
Mesorthophlebia sinica was named by Hong (1983). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Xiaofanzhangzi, sample 27h4, Chengde City, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Jiulongshan Formation of China.
