Taxonomy
Necropsis paludis was named by Hong (1983). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Haifanggou, Beipiao City (Hong collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian terrestrial mudstone in the Haifanggou Formation of China. It is the type species of Necropsis.
