Triasorhynchia was named by Xu and Liu (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis Sepkoski's reference number: 1167]. It is the type genus of Triasorhynchiidae.
It was assigned to Triasorhynchiidae by Williams et al. (2002); to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tetrarhynchiinae by Guo and Chen (2022).
