Caracara creightoni (Creighton's caracara)
Taxonomy
Caracara creightoni was named by Brodkorb (1959). Its type specimen is UF 3153, a limb element (left carpometacarpus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Banana Hole (UF collection), which is in a Pleistocene/Holocene sinkhole limestone in the Bahamas.
It was recombined as Polyborus creightoni by Olson and Hilgartner (1982) and Morgan (1994).
