Panorpidium deichmuelleri
Taxonomy
Elcana deichmulleri was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is Dresdener Museum, an exoskeleton (whole female), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (SNSD Dresden collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
It was corrected as Elcana deichmuelleri by Carpenter (1932); it was recombined as Panorpidium deichmuelleri by Eades et al. (2012).
