Taxonomy
Neoglaphyrites discoidalis was named by Ehiro et al. (2014). Its type specimen is IGPS 111389, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Miharanoro NSM PCL 15-53-1, Tojo Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Uyamanoro Formation of Japan.
