Taxonomy
Anomaloria was named by Cooper and Grant (1969) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon-m P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 7,403]. Its type is Anomaloria anomala. It is the type genus of Anomaloriinae.

It was assigned to Spiriferida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Anomaloriinae by Williams et al. (2006).
