Taxonomy
Terebratula havesfieldensis was named by Davidson (1876) [Terebratula puncata var. havesfieldensis].

It was recombined as Lobothyris havesfieldensis by Alméras and Peybernès (1979); it was recombined as Lobothyris haresfieldensis by Alméras and Fauré (2000); it was recombined as Monsardithyris haresfieldensis by Baeza-Carratalá and Sepehriannasab (2014).
