Podopinites acourti

Taxonomy
Lygaeites acourti was named by Cockerell (1921). Its type specimen is BMNH I.8658, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Brodie coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Pentatomites acourti by Cockerell (1927); it was recombined as Podopinites acourti by Popov (2019).
