Phatanako wilmattae

Taxonomy
Myndus wilmattae was named by Cockerell (1926). Its type specimen is NHMUK In.26637, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge marls, east end of Thorness Bay, which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Phatanako.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Szwedo et al. (2004) and Szwedo (2007); it was recombined as Phatanako wilmattae by Szwedo (2019).
