Taxonomy
Cyclothyris aliformis was named by Smirnova (2012). Its type specimen is PIN no. 4898/2800 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 3km from Alikent, upstream Tsmurchai River, which is in an Aptian marine sandstone in the Gundara Formation of the Russian Federation.
