Taxonomy
Palaeocharinoides hornei was named by Hirst (1923). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rhynie cherts (BMNH coll.), which is in a Pragian pond chert in the Dryden Flags Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Palaeocharinus hornei by Dunlop et al. (2013).
