Taxonomy
Dimegelasma was named by Cooper (1942) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1,400]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Dimegelasmidae.

It was assigned to Spiriferida by Lintz and Lohr (1958) and Sepkoski (2002); and to Dimegelasmidae by Williams et al. (2006).
