Taxonomy
Eochalcophora transversovittata was named by Haupt (1950). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Geiseltal (Halle collection), which is in a Lutetian mire/swamp lignite/shale in Germany.
It was recombined as Psiloptera (Damarsila) transversovittata by Hörnschemeyer and Wedmann (1994); it was recombined as Psiloptera transversovittata by Weidlich (1987) and Bellamy (2008).
