Taxonomy
Murchisonia dalryensis was named by Donald (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dalry, which is in a Brigantian carbonate limestone in the Lower Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Goniasma dalryensis by Wagner (2023).
