Chlamys egregius

Taxonomy
Pecten egregius was named by Nomland (1917). Its type specimen is UCMP 11090, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 2991 - Zapato Creek, which is in a Pliocene marine horizon in the Etchegoin Formation of California.

It was recombined as Chlamys egregius by Moore (1984).
