Taxonomy
Glendonia was named by McClung and Armstrong (1978) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u]. It is the type genus of Glendoniinae.

It was assigned to Spiriferida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Glendoniinae by Williams et al. (2006).
