Taxonomy
Parvisargus peior was named by Mostovski (1996). Its type specimen is PIN 2997/3551, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2997), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.
