Banguela oberlii
Taxonomy
Banguela oberlii was named by Headden and Campos (2014). Its type specimen is NMSG SAO, 251093, a mandible (anterior portion of both mandibles, fused at the symphysis, missing the post symphyseal rami and the rostral tip.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Banguela.
