Sylvicola maculata
Taxonomy
Rhyphus maculatus was named by Heer (1849). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Radoboj (K.K. Montanistischen Collection), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.
It was recombined as Anisopus maculatus by Edwards (1928); it was recombined as Sylvicola maculata by Evenhuis (1994) and Wojtoń et al. (2018).
