Taxonomy
Eupatagus (Brissopatagus) primus was named by Cooke (1942). Its type specimen is USNM 498978, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 4033 - Parke's farm, Ellaville [Clayton Fm], which is in a Danian coastal siliciclastic in the Clayton Formation of Georgia.
