Protoscutella mississippiensis

Taxonomy
Scutella mississippiensis was named by Clark and Twitchell (1915) [attributed to Twitchell only]. Its type specimen is USNM 137655, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Protoscutella mississippiensis by Cooke (1942), Cooke (1959) and Kier (1980).
