Taxonomy
Sinoedischia carbonica was named by Hong (1985). It is an impression. Its type locality is Gancaoshan, Xiangning County, which is in a Sakmarian terrestrial shale in the Shanxi Formation of China. It is the type species of Sinoedischia.
