Taxonomy
Aeshna turoliana was named by Riou and Nel (1995). Its type specimen is MPVR R St B 250, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Montagne d'Andance, Saint-Bauzile, Privas (Riou collection), which is in a Turolian crater lake diatomite in France.
