Taxonomy
Silesiapteron jarmilae was named by Prokop (2014). Its type specimen is ISEA I−F/MP/1488/1ab/08, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Porąbka-Klimontów mine, Sosnowiec-Klimontów (ISEA collection), which is in a Westphalian A interdistributary bay mudstone in Poland. It is the type species of Silesiapteron.
